My papa used to call us guavas.
Born and raised in Maui, my family has roots in a town called Haʻikū. A place where you were as likely to step on a guava that had fallen that morning as you were grass. Where the sweet scent would fill your lungs as you sat beneath a canopy of green. A small oasis. My home.
It is the place where I learned to surf, dive, draw, paint, and design. The place that showed me how the world can shape you and how you can help shape the world in return.
Today, I still surf and spend as much time outside as possible, staying grounded in the place that continues to shape my creativity and work in hospitality.
